Malshej Ghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range in the Kalyan–Ahmednagar Road of Maharashtra, India. The site in the hills of the Western Ghats.Malshej Ghat is known for several types avian population and marriage particularly known for flamingoes.The monsoon months of August and September are a good time to visit Malshej Ghat, with green hills and exotic flamingos visit this area during monsoon months. Old malshej ghat is offbeat jungle trail which starts from MTDC Malshej Ghat and ends near base of Kalu Waterfall.Trail covers 7 to 8 Km total distance.

Previous Night
10:30 p.m. – Meet Team Via Ferrata at Office in Sadashiv Peth.
11:00 p.m. – Depart for Malshej Ghat from S.P College,Tilak Road,Pune.
Starting Point : S.P College,Tilak Road,Pune.
Pickup Points - S.P. College, Deccan, F.C. Road, University Road, Bremen Chowk, Nashik Phata, Bhosari.
*IMPORTANT – Latecomers will have to join us on the way or make their own arrangements to reach the starting point.
No Arguments will be entertained for the same.
Event Day
06:00 a.m. – Breakfast and start Trek
No Toilets are available on the Trek route.
01:30 p.m. – Return to base & have a lunch.
03:00 p.m. – Start return Journey to Pune.
07:00 p.m. – Reach Back to Pune.
We may come to Pune ONE Hour Before OR After the given time.
- Valid Identity Card
- Adequate Cash ( No ATMs available throughout the Journey)
- Backpack (no sling bags, one side bags etc.)
- Hiking pants, Woolen pullover/ Gloves, Raincoat, Jacket,Cap/Hat, socks, Cold cream, Sunglasses
- Trekking equipment like trekking Shoes with good grip,trekking pole
- Crepe Bandage (if you have one at home)
- Water bottle (Minimum 2-3 LTRs)
- Torch(we reach early to the base village, it will be useful)
- Extra set of Clothes (to wear after the trek, in return journey)
- Some ready to eat food like plum cakes, fruits, dry fruits, chocolates, biscuits,etc.
- Any prescribed personal medicine (e.g.anti-allergic medicines suggested by doctor).
